D3 F3A ESC v2.7

The world's first F3A ESC developed around the governor concept.

The D3 ESC introduced a new approach to F3A power systems. The first D3 prototype took to the air in 2016, pioneering the use of a governor specifically designed for F3A aerobatics. Ten years later, the D3 continues to evolve.

The latest V2.7 firmware brings an even smoother and more refined flying experience, with gentler motor start and stop characteristics for precise and predictable power delivery.

The current version also features true OPTO isolation, eliminating the need for a ferrite ring, together with a versatile USB software interface. The PC software allows the controller to be configured and fine-tuned for virtually any F3A power system.

The D3 can be supplied with the standard default configuration, or, as an option, pre-configured for a specific motor, battery and propeller combination. This means the ESC can be delivered ready for your particular power system, without the need for initial setup.

After a decade of development, the D3 remains true to its original concept: stable, precise and predictable motor speed control for F3A.

2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the D3 ESC — ten years since the first prototype flew in 2016.
